My New Year's Resolution...

Okay, so just one of many (I always set myself to fail big time - go big or go home...and by home I mean to D'n'D's for a Caramel Swirl Iced Latte no whip cream no sugar by Jan 02...where was I?  oh, yeah) resolutions I'm making this year is to invest in some statues for our garden.  I am definitely drawn to them, especially when they're aged and look like they've been there forever and a day.  I better get cracking because forever doesn't just happen over night.  Unless you smoosh some sort of buttermilk/beer concoction on 'em, like Martha.  Seriously.  Google it.  Never mind I did it for you.  Don't forget to come back and see my pics.

Back?  Cool huh?  I know, right?

Here are a few of the statues that pulled at my heart strings while strolling through the Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota:

I've got some kind of obsession with this guy.  I own several small ones...

This one almost seemed to glow in the shadows, it's so white...

Little mermaid overlooking the coi, reminded me of Weeki Wachee here in Hernando County...

Floating over the coi pond, I feel serene just looking at him...

Any resolutions this year?

Oooh, the mermaid! The cow!
I don't think I'm going to make any resolutions tomorrow - except maybe to remember to be determined and follow my dreams.

Now I like your resolution. I haven't made a list yet, but....

My resolution for TODAY - catch up on my blog reading. Gosh, it's amazing how quick and easy it is to get behind! And, believe me, I'm way behind. Anyhoo...I've enjoyed seeing what you've been up to. And CONGRATULATIONS on the big news...another grandbaby! I hope Ainsley feels better real soon.

Happy New Year!
Hugs!

Sorry Natalie about congratulating you on a new grandchild!

Too funny! That's what I get for trying to do too many things at one time. Plus, leaving the computer to run do something else and then hurry back to my desk to blog more. Call me crazy!

I bet I gave you a good laugh though.

Hugs!

Those statues are VERY cool! I want the garden/pond/waterfall (where the mermaid is) transported to my backyard. Beautiful.

Thanks for you comment. Don't cyber stone me, but I don't actually like Twilight. My picture is tongue in cheek. :)

And I love the mermaid fixture. I will be back and visit your blog!

There isn't anything more serene or relaxing than a nice pond and waterfall. I spend countless hours just sitting in front of ours enjoying the fish, birds and frogs. I think I need to get me one of these cool statues though!

I love the mermaid you show in your photos. Yes these sweet statues had so much life and interest to a garden. I am anxious to see what you will do with yours.
