I came across a couple of homes when driving around snapping pics of local Southern Belles that, unfortunately, seem to have been forgotten. In stark contrast to their beautifully maintained & restored sisters, they are being abused by both time and the elements. Their graceful elegance is still apparent, and I can't help to think...
What if...
Can you see them, too?

it is a wonderment why some fall into such a state, when you can tell they would be such gems.
probably b/c family just holds onto them and they never hit the market???? death by sentimentalism?i love that first one alot.
I can so see it. Especially that first one. Wouldn't it be grand?
The things you could do!

Unbelievable makes the wheels turn and think of all the possibilities....French;)
I love the bottom one. It has so much charm not like all those houses here.
There is one old place down the road from here I pass every other day and even it is old I would buy it in a heartbeat if we would stay here and it would be for sale, but I might actually stop there someday and take pictures and keep on dreaming.
It breaks my heart to see those wonderful homes just looking for someone to love them.
Hugs!

Where are you, Nat?! I miss your posts.
I must've missed this one. I LOVE that 2nd one. In fact, I think it is my most favorite of the houses you have ever posted. I really wish I could buy that one and fix it up. It's just gorgeous. It has good bones as they say.
